Hyperhidrosis Slaithwaite
The normal body temperature is around 37℃ but when the temperature rises in hot or warm weather or from exercising, the body naturally reduces the temperature down by sweating. Sweating is a natural bodily function and an average person can sweat over a litre of sweat in a day. We have many sweat glands 2-4 million in our skin to help this. Sometimes a small percentage of people can sweat excessively at times even when they are not exercising or it isn’t hot or for no apparent reason. It commonly affects the armpits, palms of the hand, face, soles of the feet, groin, and head area. This is known as Hyperhidrosis which is a condition of excess sweating.
There are 2 types of Hyperhidrosis known as general and local. General Hyperhidrosis is generalised sweating all over the body and local is located to one or two areas usually. There are various treatments available and one of them is Botlinum Toxin injections in to the affected areas which blocks the nerves which supply the sweat glands which prevents them producing the sweat which gives the person symptom relief of excess sweating. At Faultless Beauty we offer axillary Botulinum Toxin treatments also known as excessive arm pit sweating treatments.
