Dermal Fillers Ashton-under-Lyne
Faultless Beauty offer Dermal Fillers in Ashton-under-Lyne and throughout the surrounding areas. Dermal fillers are natural collagens that provide instant results to help smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers are form of hyaluronic acid that is found naturally in the human body. Hyaluronic acid decreases within our bodies as we age, effecting our ability to retain water and moisture. The fillers are injected into the skin to improve aesthetics as they plump and rehydrate the skin tissue and diminish the signs of ageing. They are a safe way of helping you achieve a natural fresh look by adding natural volume that help with the ageing process. If combined with botox, the results can be simply stunning, giving your face the 'lift' without the dramatics of surgery.
The procedure itself is quick, but the effects are immediate. Being a natural product, the body eventually breaks down the collagen's so the look is only temporary. The length of time varies dependant on a number of factors, such as age, the area covered (the area around the mouth tends to breakdown quicker due to movement) and the amount of filler required. After the procedure it is not uncommon to occur some slight swelling, tenderness and bruising.
During your initial consultation we will discuss in depth with you your procedure and will happily discuss any questions you may have. We will talk you through the step by step process to ensure you feel comfortable with your treatment. After the procedure is complete, again if you have any questions simply contact Faultless Beauty and we will assist you in any way we can.
Frequently Asked Questions
Dermal fillers such as Restylanel, Juvederm, Belotero and Teosyal are a range of products for facial aesthetic treatments to efficiently reduce lines, folds and wrinkles, create fuller lips, enhance contours and facial volume, as well as improve skin quality, structure and elasticity. They are a safe and natural way to enhance your looks. With over 20 million Restylane treatments worldwide and extensive clinical documentation, the products are scientifically proven to give natural results with long-lasting effects, depending on treatment area. The ranges are designed to complement the varying stages of facial ageing to provide natural-looking results. Other well known brands which we are trained in are Juvederm, Teosyal, Belotero, Radiesse. Though radiesse is a calcium based semi permanent filler and not hyaluronic acid. Some treatments can be used on the back of the hands, neck and decolletage.
For example in the restylane range there are two main product ranges:
- Restylane l fillers, designed to enhance facial features, from targeted superficial filling of wrinkles to deeper facial shaping and contouring and volume
- Restylane Skinboosters, a fresh approach to skin rejuvenation, designed to deliver hydration and improvements in the quality of the skin
Dermal filler treatments work to naturally restore, enhance or improve the condition of your skin using hyaluraonic acid. This naturally occurring sugar molecule provides hydration and structure to the skin, but is depleted as we age which results in wrinkles caused by loss of volume and structure which dermal fillers can help to replace.
The main component of dermal fillers is cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a naturally occurring substance found in many organisms. They do not contain animal products.
Hyaluronic acid is a sugar molecule that exists naturally in many organisms. It binds water and acts as a lubricant and shock absorber in movable parts of the body such as joints. It is also important for the transport of nutrients, regulating water balance and giving volume and structure to the skin.

About the Treatments
First, the practitioner disinfects the area to be treated. A small amount of dermal fillercis then injected into or below the skin through a fine needle in order to fill out wrinkles, add volume and enhance the face or lips. After injection, the practitioner may gently massage the treated area to even out the result.
A treatment with dermal fillers does not take long. Depending on the area and indication, it takes approximately 15-45 minutes. A touch-up treatment is sometimes performed approximately two weeks after the initial treatment to optimise the results.
Some people may experience the treatment as a mild discomfort. Many dermal filler products contain an integrated local anaesthetic, lidocaine, to provide you with a more comfortable treatment experience, and they also comes with special needles for easy skin penetration. You and your clinician may decide whether additional pain relief is needed.
Dermal fillers are a non-permanent filler, the effect gradually diminishes with time as the gel is degraded. In order to maintain the aesthetic result, top-up treatments are recommended. Results may vary depending on treatments areas, medication and other metabolism factors but varies from 6-18 months.
Ask your practitioner if you will benefit from treatment with any of the products within the Restylane, teosyal, belotero, juvederm, dermal filler range. It is important when discussing your medical history to tell your practitioner everything, including all medicines that you are taking, any present and past allergies and their seriousness, and all current or past medical conditions you have had. Your practitioner will discuss potential side effects from the injection of dermal fillers and how serious they may be.
The Restylane range has been extensively investigated. Restylane has been used in over 20 million aesthetic treatments worldwide. With over 30 publications based on controlled trials, Restylane treatments have been trusted for close to two decades by clinics and patients worldwide. Similar has been proven with Belotero, Teosyal and Juvederm fillers.
Selecting a Practitioner
First of all you should always contact a qualified practitioner to be assured that the treatment will be performed correctly. Dermal filler treatments should only be administered by a trained medical healthcare professional (you can check they are registered with their appropriate professional organisation). For your safety, be prepared to discuss your medical history during your pre-treatment consultation to ensure the treatment is right for you. Your treatment should be performed in a medical environment that affords you privacy and is spotlessly clean. You may want to request to see your chosen practitioner’s training certificate and insurance certificate to ensure they are appropriately trained and insured for the treatment they are providing.
Only a medically qualified health care professional should perform a Restylane treatment. In the UK it includes, Doctors, Dentists and Aesthetic Nurses. Your practitioner should have undertaken a recognised training course (ask to see their training certificate) for the treatment you are having and should have the appropriate insurance. Faultless Beauty Aesthetics is fully insured to offer these treatments and Lynda Turner of Faultless Beauty Aesthetics is an aesthetic nurse and independent nurse prescriber.
